Professional Snow Globe Restoration
Removal of air bubbles
Air bubbles naturally develop in all snow globes over time, potentially affecting their appearance and causing disappointment. This can result from aging rubber seals that may begin to leak, as well as more complex processes such as hydrolysis or electrolysis. Our goal is to achieve complete removal of air bubbles.
Broken Glass Replacement
Expert replacement of broken glass globes with various diameters, ensuring your globe retains its enchanting appearance and functionality.
Replacement of liquid, snow or glitter
Due to various factors such as microbial growth, corrosion of internal components, temperature fluctuations, and more, the delicate balance inside a snow globe can be disrupted, leading to cloudiness and deterioration of the liquid. With us, your snow globe will look just as attractive as it did on the first day.
Internal Arrangement Repair
Restoration of the dislodged internal arrangement involves meticulous efforts to reassemble and secure all components within the snow globe. Our skilled team carefully inspects and adjusts each part to restore the globe to its original state, preserving its functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Cleaning of the snow globe
Cleaning is required almost universally during any maintenance involving fluid replacement. Degradation of paint or metal components inside the globe, such as magnetic parts of the motor or decorative elements, leads to yellowing deposits on figurines, residue on the internal glass surfaces, and structural elements of the internal composition.
Mechanical and Electrical Restoration
Revive the intricate mechanisms within your globe to bring back its delightful music, luminous lighting, snowfall, and animated figurines. The possibility of these restorations depends on the preservation of components
• Restoration of wind-up music mechanism
• Restoration of lighting
• Restoration of snow globe motor
• Restoration of rotation or movement of figurines
TYPES OF REPAIRS WE CANNOT PERFORM:
• Replacement of specific broken glass forms (such as domes, eggs, Viennese balls, etc.) or plastic forms.
• Sealed globes or those sealed with epoxy glue – we simply cannot access the interior for repairs.
• We cannot restore lost parts of sculptures or bases. Restoration of sculptures or bases from existing shards is individually priced.
Unfortunately, not every snow globe can be restored, so please clarify the repair feasibility before sending it to us.
REPAIR TIMEFRAMES:
Typically, liquid replacement, broken glass replacement, or removal of air bubbles takes from 10 to 20 days. The main challenge is achieving complete removal of air bubbles, which can stubbornly hide in the cavities of the figurine. If the paint coating of the figurine is intact and does not cause hydrolysis, we will achieve a successful result.
Repair of mechanical parts, music box, snow globe motor, or lighting typically takes from 10 to 20 days. The timeframe may be extended by agreement due to complexity.
